Teach Me Sushi App Reviews

This app is ok at best. It has a limited sushi selections to pick from. It cost $5.00 and no new rolls are added. If you want new ones, you need to buy the advanced version for another $5.00!

Astounded by this app, I had to leave a review. Its like walking into a sushi training school. Who needs to travel to distant japanese lands to train under masters when you can have a master chef in your pocket, training you at home in your hand, in the most elegant of ways. I gave it three thumbs up!!!

This is a great app and shows how simple something so complex can be. Support is great as Jake himself answers questions within 24 hours.

the undying urge to make some serious SUSHI!!! when you open it up. So be hungry, get that knife and seaweed ready and have a blast. A fun app that takes the mystique out of things like "how do they make that really great rice?" "whats the best way to skin fish?" "How do I roll that rice on the outside of the roll?" Love this app

Ive gone through multitudes of sushi materials, and this app I find to be the most concise and explanatory for beginners. Very helpful!

This app is executed perfectly. The video quality is excellent, the lighting is good, and the teacher is excellent. I was never a big sushi guy, but Ive just recently gotten into it. Loving that this app shows me exactly what I need to make sushi at home!

I would like a couple lessons on some cooked items added to the beginners app. Raw food handling should be done with greater experience folks, especially fish. Imitation crab, shrimp, more veggies, spring rolls or California rolls would be a good blend for a beginner. Also, I wish I could take advantage of some in home classes, but I dont live in New York....oh well. Otherwise, this is a pretty good app along with video instructions, which I finally found by hitting the home key twice.

Awesome update. Love the new rolls!

I love the new update! The original apps step by step pics werent great and this update has added clear, brilliantly taken pics that really show you how to make the different pieces of sushi. I also love the new rolls. i sent an email to Jake when the first app came out asking if he would show us how to make Kazari sushi and he included this recipe in the update. I cant wait for more recipes to be added :)

Love the updated content. The pictures are awesome and I cant wait to try the new recipes. I already have my eye on making a philadelphia roll -- my all-time favorite sushi roll. Keep the new additions coming! And as always, I love Jake. So much fun to cook along with in my kitchen. Thanks!

Why to pay again for the recipes of the "expert version"?

So after I buy the app I have to buy the recipes. Not worth buying if u have to pay for recipes after! Dont get it its a waste of money!

I tried to make sushi before but it came awfull so I got this app and now everything is coming out amazing. It starts with my rice that before I had no clue how to cook and now I do then it shows you how to cut and prepare fish then it shows you the recipes and before all I could make was a bad California roll and slimy nigiri now thanks to teach me sushi I can make all different forms of sushi even kinda you havent heard of. Definitely worth it!!!!!!! Awesome and Jake really keeps your attention And shows you little things that you could miss otherwise that could make a big difference in the final product. thank you.

I got this app yesterday for free and I must say its not worth the tremendous amount of space it uses. The teacher does not do a great work preparing the suhis, an his chopping technique is sloppy, risking his fingers constantly, and his cuts arent that neat either. Finally, the fashion sandwich is a disgrace to sushi.
